Braised Short Ribs



4-1/2 Pounds Beef Short Ribs

Salt And Pepper

2 Cups Dry Red Wine

14 Ounce Can Diced Tomatoes In Juice

6 Ounce Can Sliced Mushrooms

1/2 Cup Coarsely Chopped Onion

3 Garlic Cloves, Peeled

2 Bay Leaves


 Sprinkle ribs with salt and pepper. Place in a slow cooker. Add remaining ingredients, cover and cook on low heat until meat is tender, about 8 hours.

Using slotted spoon, transfer ribs to servig bowl. Discard bay leaves. Can be served with sauce after fat has been spooned off. Serve with crusty French bread.
