Country Style Beef

 

Ingredients:

Large Onions, shopped

Stew Beef

Cloves Garlic, chopped

Bay Leaf

Salt And Pepper To Taste

Red Dry Wine

Olive Oil

Cans Condensed Beef Broth

Mushrooms, sliced

Chopped Parsley

Directions:

In a medium stock pot, brown stew beef in olive oil. Add the onions and cook until golden brown, set aside. In a bowl mix the flour and beef broth. Pour over the beef and onions, stirring over medium heat. Add wine, thyme, bay leaf, garlic, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for 1 hour or until beef is tender.

In a small skillet, brown the mushrooms in the butter; add the chopped parsley. Add to the beef when golden brown and cooked thru. Simmer for an additional 15 minutes.

Serve with rice or noodles.
