Bolognese with Spaghetti

 

Ingredients:

Directions:

Chop the celery, onion, carrot and garlic. In a large skillet the olive oil and butter over medium heat until butter melts. Turn the heat to low. Add the chopped vegetables and cook for about 5 minutes or until softened but not browned. Add the ground beef, and cook until it turns brown. Add the flour and stir well. Add the tomato paste, beef stock, red wine and tomatoes. Add salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally, to prevent from sticking to bottom. If needed add beef broth or water. Sauce is ready when thickened.

Cook the spaghetti according to package directions. Drain well, and place in a serving bowl. Pour the sauce over the spaghetti and toss to coat. Serve with parmesan cheese.
