South County Museum
Located on the site of the Governor William Sprague residence on Canconchet Farm, the South County Museum has become one of the area's most popular family attractions. The museum includes the Metz Main Exhibit Hall, five adjacent buildings and a working farm. The Metz Main Exhibit Hall displays exhibits of rural life in South County from 1800 to 1930. The five adjacent buildings are devoted to early American carpentry, blacksmithing, printing, transportation and education. The working farm gives visitors the opportunity to experience life on a nineteenth century farm. The South County Museum is located on Strathmore Street in Narragansett. Visit their website for additional information.
