Truck with potential.

The truck was washed and the tires given a touch up the day before I arrived to inspect it.

Damaged door and quarter panel replaced by previous owner. Owner wanted to restore truck but another project, a Ford Mustang, was preferred over this truck. The truck was originally bought directly off the dealer lot with all the options listed.

Good look at the damage caused by the side rollover. The tailgate was removed since the hinges were badly damaged.

If you look carefully, you can see the extensive damage to the cab directly behind the door.

The tires were three years old and only had three months of use when the accident occurred. All the tires still had all the little "tips" and absolutely very little tread wear. Only one way to use a temporary tire. Make it a slick on some asphalt!!!!

Overall Condition at Purchase: "BAD BOW" was parked for three years due to a side rollover accident. Damaged occurred while the previous owner teenage son was driving. At purchase the major damage areas included the bed and the cab corner directly behind the door on the driver side. The damaged front quarter panel and door were replaced as shown in the pictures. The inside condition was worse than the outside. Torn seat cover, weather damaged carpet, cracked dash, instrument panel hacked for the installation of a radio, loose tilt steering, hanging headliner, burned instrument light bulbs, broken door mirrors, broken door switches, damaged weather strips  just added to the item list of things in need of repair or replacement. The owner turned the truck on once a week to keep the engine from locking up. I've never seen so many cobwebs on a truck until I saw this one. Spider webs were found inside the truck and the entire engine compartment. After seeing all the "good" stuff above, would you buy? I had my doubts until we turned on the truck. It started on its first crank. It looked like a mosquito sprayer for the first couple of minutes, but after it burned off the oil it stopped smoking and the engine just "purred". Well you know what's next, the test drive!!!! Since we were out in the country with open roads, nothing brings a V8 to life until you stomp the pedal to the metal. Since my only truck at the time was a Dakota with a V6, the V8 feel was something I missed and just had to have under my foot pedal. After talking with my mechanic, we agreed to the price and two weeks later the truck was mine.
