Many of us have been to the zoo. The zoo is the closest most of us are ever going to come to the exoctic animals contained within the confines of the zoo. I have yet to meet a person who has gone to the zoo and not taken a single picture. With the explosion of the web and the ease of building personal websites, posting and sharing those photos with family and friends has never been easier. There are plenty of pet webrings and even exotic animal webrings, but this is the only webring where you can links all those great photos and pages of your visit to the zoo.
This site is open to anyone-national and state zoos included-who has a website, or pages on a website devoted to a zoo. It could be a local zoo, a petting zoo, a national zoo, even a "rescue" or "safe haven" zoo anywhere in the world. Even if you have a large menagerie of animals at home, you may even qualify.
A few rules:
It MUST be a family friendly site. The ENTIRE site, not just the pages being submitted to the ring. I will personally review each and every site before allowing admittance into the ring.
The pages or site being submitted must have a "zoo" feel about them. Posting pictures of the family dog or cat is not what this ring is all about. While I love all animals (even my beautiful Great Danes), chances are, there is another webring out there that is more appropriate for them.
You will not be approved if the page being submitted is a "webring" page on your site. You must submit the pages that the zoo pictures are on. The pages linking the ring together must be on the pages originally submitted. I am not to keen on having this ring lumped together on your "webring" page unless I can easily navigate to the pages I want to view. I am not linking to your site to see all the other webrings you belong to, I am linking to your site to view zoo animals.
These few simple rules can be updated, ammended and changed at anytime.
