Method
I personally grate the cheese and prepare the bread crumbs before hand.
Bring to boil a large saucepan of salted water add the pasta and bring back to boil turn down to simmer for about 5 min. Meanwhile peel and chop the onion, separate the broccoli into its sprigs leaving with some of the stalk. Stir into the simmering pasta and continue boiling for a further 6 min. (You may want to turn up the heat a little.) The broccoli will not be overcook and the pasta is not spoilt, should be until 'al dente' (meaning, firm to the bite). Sieve the water from the pasta and broccoli and blend in the prepared breadcrumbs and grated cheese. Here if you choose, the handful of nuts.
To serve with the tomatoes I had placed a little oil on them and grilled for a few minutes only so still firm halve or quarter them up as you wish, serve on warmed plates and decorate with the tomatoes. This meal was scrumptious for my partner we had a nice meal and was plenty.
