Ronald Patrick Russell, SP4

Died: 4 March 1969, Kontum, Repblic of Vietnam

Buried: 12 March 1969, Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego, San Diego, CA

Ronnie was a soldier in Viet Nam, who at the time, was driving a refueling

truck which ran over a land mine resulting in a terrible fire. He died as a

result of his burns and injuries from the mine explosion and fire.

Purple heart soldier!

Ronnie was also awarded the Bronze Star Medal for bravery!

He received two Bronze Star Medal citations!!

His rank was SP4. His service number was 18859818.

Ronnie's name is on the Vietnam Memorial Wall, on panel W30, Line 39.
