Support

Support after an acquired brain injury is very important and information
that not olny helps the survivor but the caregiver family or friend.
Where I am from there is a new sceem called STEPS, being made available
through Acquired Brain Injury Outreach Service.

This is a 6 week course that teachers the survivor and caregiver a lot of
the required steps to a better recovery after this injury.
It can also lead to a permanent TBI support group in an area.
My friend caregiver is learning this right now, to be a group leader.
He is also quilifed as a trainer before this so this is now looking
like a much better outlook for the feature.

I have set up a Yahoo Group that people can enquire about this, or enroll
for training locally, the first group is planned for 6 survivors and caregiver pairs
for the first meetings. We are yet to advertise so we are not sure on the responce
TBI-SG-Logan (Logan Steps)

I will keep this page up to date is there is any changes.
