| The Society of Paranormal Investigation and Research was founded in February of 2006 in Mineral City, Ohio by Patricia Mick and her eldest daughter Dutchess Freeman.
S.P.I.R was created from my mother's love of paranormal research and my own endless curiosity where this subject was concerned. Both of us have had various encounters over the years and it has instilled in us the wish to find any sorts of information on this subject. We are a nonprofit orginization that is dedicated to help others. We also are dedicated to helping others try to understand what may be occurring in or around their homes that many other's cannot explain. We pledge to do all that we can to help these people who are at their wits end or are tired of people proclaiming that they are either crazy or imagining things. At present we have one branch: Mineral City, Ohio - This is run by founder Patricia Mick and is the main branch of S.P.I.R. Other sub branches will be added as our group expands and grows. As a group just starting out we do understand that we maynot be prepared to handle all the cases that might come our way but we will try our hardest to be able to turn these cases over to those who are more knowledgeable then we are. Everything contained within this site is solely our own views and not the expressed ideas of general society as a whole. Any other statements by others will be labled as such and placed here with the permission of those who have expressed them. |

| For as long as I can remember, I've been certain that something has existed besides that which we can see. Something that could brush against our form of reality and leave either a tingle of fear or a sense of great comfort.
From early childhood, I have had several experiances that others cannot rationally explain away and it is from this that I have developed a nature of curious wonder about the paranormal. Growing up in a family that has always believed in the existance of spirits and other such things, it is my hope that one day someone will discover a way to prove that they are as real as our minds say they are and be able to scientifically prove what many of us have also known. |
