1. You are advised that you are eligible to wear the Combat Action Ribbon for combat participation while attached to and serving in USS Oklahoma City (CLG-5) on 7, 9 and 11 April 1972 when OKLAHOMA CITY was taken under fire by enemy shore batteries.

2. Enclosure (1) is delivered with congratulations and a personal "Well Done."

3. A copy of this letter will be made a part of your official service record.
