Ullrich Haupt
Ullrich Haupt (b. Aug. 8, 1887 d. Aug. 5, 1931).  He was born in Prussia (Pommerania) and migrated first to the Chicago area and then to the Santa Maria, California area.  He was a star of the silent motion pictures and would co-star with the likes of Marlene Dietrich, Gary Cooper, John Barrymore, William Powell and Douglas Fairbanks, Sr.  He would appear in at least 13 films - some of which are listed here:

The Tempest (1928)
The Greene Murder Case (1928)
Madame "X" (1929)
Iron Mask (1929)
Du Barry - Woman of Passion (1931)
Morocco (1930)

Ullrich Haupt's life ended early.  While on a hunting trip, he fell victim to an accidental gunshot wound. 

Ullrich Haupt had a son also named Ullrich Haupt (b. Oct. 30, 1915 d. Nov. 22, 1991).  This Ullrich Haupt was born in Chicago and died in Munich, Germany.  The younger Ullrich Haupt would also have an acting career.  By the Fall of 1931 (at age 15), this Ullrich would enroll in the Art Academy of Berlin.  See photo below.
