| The home above is believed to be the last residence of the immigrant Johann Heinrich Sebastian Haupt. He lived here from the late 1760's until his death in 1782. He most likely moved here after marrying his second wife Mary Castleberry (widow of Derick Castleberry) in 1767. The home was located in the northern Philadelphia area and was eventually torn down in 1965. Above photo was provided by Florence Haupt King - a direct descendant of Sebastian Haupt. |
