| Ray Haupt is a descendant of Johannes Haupt (b. 1629) of Windesheim and the immigrant Johann Samuel Haupt born 1725 in Windesheim, Rheinland, Preussen. He is descended through Samuel's eldest son Philip (b. 1758) of Shamokin, PA. He is the compiler of "Haupt Family Origins in the Rheinland-Pfalz and their American Descendants, Vol. I and II" (1996, 1997). He has been researching Haupt family history now for 32 years.
