The Church records (dated July 11, 1579) at Bacharach are difficult to read but seem to indicate that Johannes Haupt of Bacharach was from elsewhere. The village/area appears to be spelled An_____h. The middle letters cannot be deciphered. I now believe that it will be the Ansbach area in which Pappenheim is located. Bacharach is located on the Rhein River approx. 8 miles NW of Windesheim.
There was a Hanns Haub residing in Mannweiler, Rheinland in 1566. Perhaps this is the Johannes Haupt line of Bacharach. Hanns Haub appears to be born in 1506. Mannweiler is located approx. 15 miles south of Windesheim.
