Pictured above is the family of Joseph Wesley Haupt, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth (Keiser) Haupt. Joseph Wesley Haupt, Jr. was born Feb. 29, 1828 and died Dec. 8, 1899. Elizabeth (Keiser) Haupt was born Aug. 9, 1834 and died May 29, 1910.

They are descended from the immigrant Johann Samuel Haupt (b. 1725) in Windesheim, Rheinland, Germany through Samuel's son Philip Haupt (b. 1758) who migrated to the Shamokin, PA area in the early 1780's. One of Philip Haupt's sons was Joseph Wesley Haupt, Sr. (b. 1797 d. 1874). |
