Lyman Rudolph Houpt (b. Dec. 15, 1876 d. Apr. 13, 1955) was a son of Harvey Houpt (b. 1852) and his wife Margaret (Queen) Houpt. Harvey Houpt was a son of John Watt Houpt (b. 1809) and Margaret (Correll) Houpt. John Watt Houpt was a son of Anthony Houpt (b. 1781) of Iredell Co., NC.
Lyman Rudolph Houpt married Vera E. _____. Their children are: Gordon (b. 1914, Betty (b. 1917), Dorothy (b. 1919), Donald (b. 1921), Rosald (b. 1923), and Logan (b. 1925). This family settled in Spotted Horse Precinct, Arthur Co., NE on what is now known as Houpt Ranch.
Jacob Houpt (b. 1851) is a son of Robert L. Houpt (b. 1829) and his wife Mary Ann (Anderson) Houpt. Robert L. Houpt is a son of Samuel Houpt (b. abt. 1791) and his wife Ann (Carver) Short Houpt. Samuel Houpt resided in Kennett Square, Chester County, PA and is no doubt descended from Johann Samuel Haupt (b. 1725 in Windesheim, Rheinland) who arrived to Philadelphia in 1754.
Jacob Houpt (b. 1851) married twice in Buffalo Co., NE. His first marriage was to Viola Porter on Feb. 17, 1873. The 2nd marriage was to Sarah A. Hadaman on Sept. 27, 1875.
Harvey Houpt (b. 1852 d. 1932) and his wife Margaret (Queen) Houpt settled in Omaha Valley, Dakota Co., NE. Harvey Houpt was a son of John Watt Houpt (b. 1809) and his wife Margaret (Correll) Houpt. John Watt Houpt was of Indiana, Kansas, and Missouri area. John Watt was a son of Anthony Houpt (b. 1781) of Iredell Co., NC. Anthony Houpt was a son of Sebastian Houpt/Haupt (b. 1745) s/o Johann Nicholas Haupt (b. 1709) in Windesheim, Rheinland.
Harvey Houpt's children were: Lyman Rudolph (b. 1876), Etta (b. 1877), Rutherford B. (b. 1878), Jesse M. (b. 1880), and Ernest E. (b. 1883).

Heinrich Julius Haupt (b. 1844 d. 1915) was from Zurich, Switzerland. He was a son of Hartman Haupt (b. 1806) and his wife Verena (Kunz) Haupt of Zurich. Heinrich Julius Haupt arrived in 1869 and first settled in Peoria, IL. He married Katherina Pfeiffer and by 1871 settled in Gage Co., NE.
