|Major Eric F. Haupt was presented the General Douglas MacArthur Leadership Award on May 26, 2004 at the Pentagon. He serves with Co. C., 304th Military Intelligence Battalion, Fort Huachuca, Arizona. He is an Instructor in the Military Intelligence Officer Basic Course at the US Army Intelligence Center. He (at the time) was serving under Major General James "Spider" Marks - the Commanding General of the US Army Intelligence Center and Fort Huachuca.
In the photo above, Haupt is instructing other officers regarding his experiences in the caves of Afghanistan.
Haupt's award was one of 25 presented by Army Chief of Staff Peter J. Schoomaker which recognized the Top Junior Leaders in the US Army.
As of October 2005, Major Haupt is stationed at Camp Virginia, Kuwait. He is the operations officer with the 309th Military Battalion. While there he is training Iraquis to identify who the insurgents are among them.
Haupt graduated from the US Army ROTC Program at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia.

|Commander Jeffrey S. Haupt is the Commanding Officer of the Blue Blasters. The Blue Blasters are the F/A 18C Hornet Strike Fighter Squadron 34 which are assigned to the USS John F. Kennedy Aircraft Carrier.
By the end of 2004, the 15 pilots of the Blue Blasters had accumulated over 1800 hours of direct support for coalition forces in Iraq with over 1000 carrier assisted landings. Personally, Haupt has over 3,300 flight hours with 800 carrier landings.
Haupt was born in Pittsburgh, PA and graduated in 1983 from the University of Virginia. He received his commission in 1986 and was recognized as a Distinguished Naval Graduate of the Naval Aviation Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, FL. In 1988, he received his gold wings from the then President-Elect George W. Bush. From June 2000 to June 2002, Haupt was assigned to the US European Command in Stuttgart, Germany.
