Conrad appears in the 1850 census of Farmington Twp., Hartford Co., Connecticut - age 25, a cabinet maker from Germany.  In 1860 census, he and wife Dora appear in Mankota Twp., Blue Earth Co., Minnesota.  The 1860 census indicates that children Martha S. and Cornelius were born in Connecticut.  It also indicates that Conrad was from Prussia and his wife Dora was from Hanover.  John Conrad Haupt would eventually move his family and reside in St. Paul, Ramsey Co., Minnesota.  John Conrad Haupt died in California (most likely while staying with his son Frederick Howard Haupt).  Frederick Howard Haupt's son Frederick Edmond (b. Mar. 17, 1897 d. Mar. 16, 1957) married Marie Delilah Klingel on June 15, 1920.  Frederick Edmond Haupt lived in Walla Walla, Washington.
