There was a close relationship between Conrad Haupt and Johann Philipp Haupt of Northumberland County, PA. It was likely that of a nephew to an uncle. Conrad Haupt died intestate in 1811. Johann Philipp Haupt wrote a will in 1809 and died in 1813. Conrad's name was not mentioned in the will (dated 1809). It should be noted however that Johann Philipp Haupt's land was deeded over to Conrad Haupt. Conrad's eldest two children (daughters) were mentioned in Johann Philipp Haupt's will.
Conrad Haupt is believed to be a son of Frederick Haupt of Lancaster Co., PA who resided in Brecknock Twp., Lancaster Co., and Annville, Cocalico Twp., Lebanon Co., PA. Conrad Haupt was married in Stouchsburg, Berks Co., PA which is very near the Lebanon County border. Lebanon County was formed in 1818 from Lancaster Co., PA. Other Haupts believed to be siblings of Conrad living nearby in Lebanon Co., PA area. Lebanon Co., PA formed from Lancaster Co., PA in 1813. |
