| Many people have asked me why I became a nurse. I admit there are times when I wonder myself. It takes patience, kindness, and imagination as well as knowing what the hell you're doing. There are times when none of these seem to be enough. Nursing is a profession that takes more than it gives for those who do not realize the importance of changing people's lives. Nursing shows us the reality of the world everyday. These are just some of the reasons that I have chosen to save lives. Someone once told me that "Death is around the corner eating lifesavers." My response was "bite me." |
