Pennsylvania Dutch Tomato Salad

Ingredients

4 medium sized tomatoes
1/4 cup vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 cup finely chopped celery

Directions

Remove cores from tomatoes.  Slice tomatoes 1/2" thick; place in a serving dish on lettuce leaves, if desired.  Combine vinegar, sugar, cinnamon, salt and pepper.  Add celery.  Spoon dressing over tomatoes.  Cover and refrigerate at least one hour before serving.
