Trust - This story is about a boy becoming a man in the 1800s. His name is Shinta, he is a slave who was protected by women while they were attacked by mercenaries* when a man by the name of Seijirou Hiko comes along only in time to save the boy while everyone else was slaughtered. The man takes Shinta as an apprentice and gives him the name Kenshin. The boy Shinta now named Kenshin is a young man and wants to protect the people of Japan with the skills learned by from his master, the Hiten Mitsurugi Style. The young boy becomes an assassin for the Choushuu Clan. After some years in this profession he comes across a young woman, Tomoe, after being attacked by an assassin. He saves her and takes her to the Choushuu head quarters. Soon after, his position as assassin is compromised and he must leave for the countryside where he and Tomoe must stay until it is safe for him resume his duties again.

Ten years after his self ordained exile, Kenshin Himura returns, but nearly the opposite of that of when he was an assassin for the Choshu. He is still strong and serious when he fights, but now he has gained a softness of spirit that was just blooming when his ladylove parished 10 years ago. Now he comes across another young woman. The assistant master of the Kamiya Kasshin Style, Kaoru Kamiya. Now he renews his vows to never kill and to right the wrongs in the world...at least in Tokyo. Living at the dojo give Kenshin enough of a hassle as it is, now he's meeting new enemies & friends and their troubles are now his troubles.... (For episode summaries please go to the episode guide)
