It is the story of Jack Torrance, a former high school teacher and alcoholic, who moves his wife, Wendy and son, Danny, who has psychic abilities, to spend the winter at the Overlook Hotel where he is to be the caretaker while the hotel is closed for the winter. They are all there up on the mountains at the hotel, all winter, all alone. As the story progresses the evil hotel's history revealed, with things that happen at the hotel some of the scariest things I have ever read. |
