Misery is about a best-selling romance author, who is in a car wreck during a storm and is rescued by his "number one" fan Annie Wilkes. At first Annie Wilkes appears to be a good intetioned woman, who nurses Paul back to health in her own house, because of the storm all the highways are closed. But it is soon revealed that Annie Wilkes is infact his "number one" fan, and that she is keeping him prisoner for herself in her house in the Colorado mountains during the winter. Misery's main point has alot in common with The Shining, both are about a writer being held "caortive" in evil houses, in Coloardo, during the winter. |
