Realistic Writing Main Page
This page is under construction. Please be patient. Thank you.
I'm still getting things together for this page, but I do have a couple of documents uploaded and formatted for you to take a look at them. Sorry I haven't explained much about the characters. That'll be coming later after I actually write what I'm planning to say!
- The Debate - Michael and Mr. Alton have a debate after school about the truth of the biblical account of the Resurrection of Christ. It is narrarated to Samantha's point of view. This was originally a project for class that I did after reading Lee Strobel's Case for Christ and it marks the first appearance of Mr. Alton as a character.
- The Missing Chair - A story I wrote where Miss Laura Clarkson (a high school biology teacher) walks into her classroom and discovers that her chair is missing. The other characters in this story are Josiah Alton and Mr. Sharpe, both teachers at the same high school.
- Lost... And Found Again - A short story where Scott Adams gets lost on an orienteering-type activity at camp. This was written as a challenge from Toni, my roommate.
- A Christmas to Remember - A short story I wrote in honor of Christmas where Michael and the rest of the youth group are rehearsing their Christmas pageant at the church when they get snowed in.
- Bombing? - Another challenge issued by Toni (my roommate) that had to be about her character Dann and terrorist bombings at their school. Dann and Computer are her characters and Dann lives with Michael's family during Michael's (and Dann's) junior year of high school.
- A Good Idea... - A story that came from a challenge to write a story with an assigned first sentence. Scott and Evan are bored and Scott comes up with what he thinks is a great idea... Hannon le to Toni for help.
- The High School Dance - This is what happens when all the freshmen are forced to attend a mandatory social event. It's the product of me staying up WAY too late, torturing Michael, Sharpe showing a rare bit of compassion and Sam being Sam. So consider youselves forewarned...
