This emblem belongs to Captain Revelation. He is the captain of the HSS Emmanuel and is one of the characters in the Mission316 VBS storylines. He is usually portrayed by Danny Turner and his badge is purple, which says that he is a captain in rank. The bottom symbol of his is a flag and a trumpet. He and the other crew members get along well and he is particularly close to Paula and to Quincy.
Captain Revelation is described by the others as being very commanding, dominating and very outgoing. He has also been asked if he is crazy and in need of a mental evalutation, most notably by Dr. Omega, the scientist/doctor on the Emmanuel His greatest strength is his leadership ability and his greatest weakness is his pride.
First Mate Paula is, well, the first mate and second in command to Captain Revelation. She is played by Ellie Johnson, the youngest of the teenagers to portray a main character in Mission316. Her badge is green, denoting a rank somewhere between a lieutenant and a captain (either commander or lieutenant commander). The sword on her badge comes from Paula frequently making the comparison between a sword and the words people speak, meaning that it is very important to choose words carefully. She is a skilled negotiator whose duty station is never actually made clear in the script.
Paula is described as being a strong character who keeps an optimistic outlook whatever the scenario may be. She is a skilled diplomat and just as skilled with words - if not more so - than Tammy. Her greatest strength is persuasion and mediation between various groups of people and her greatest weakness is her superiority over the others.
Dr. Omega, the scientist and doctor on the HSS Emmanuel, is portrayed by Michael Liu. Unlike the other members of the crew, who usually wear grey shirts with black pants, Omega is usually seen wearing all black with a white lab coat. His insignia is green, signifying that he and Paula are either the same rank or very close in rank, and his special symbol is the Greek letter omega. Unlike the others on the crew, he is not human, although no explanations have been made as to where he comes from. He has never been seen without his Matrix-style sunglasses, leading the others (Paula in particular) to believe that he has some sort of eye condition. This has yet to be confirmed by Omega himself.
Omega is described by the others as being odd or eccentric, yet he is completely in control of his actions. Unlike the other characters, he is completely predictable in almost any given situation. He has decent relations with the rest of the crew. His greatest strength is his unwavering stability and ability to make rational decisions. His greatest weakness is distancing himself from the other members of the crew.
Communications Officer Tammy is played by Samantha Adams. Her badge is blue, which is the color of a lieutenant, and the symbol on the bottom is Hebrew for "I belong to God" (thanks to Tasha!). As the communications officer, Tammy is fluent in several forms of language and code that are used. Unlike the people who usually play Quincy and Tammy (Scott and Samantha Adams), Quincy and Tammy are in no ways related to one another.
Tammy is generally described as being talkative and well-liked by her fellow crew members. She is an old-fashioned romantic, yet often chides Quincy for flirting with her. Her greatest strength is her skill in using words to persuade other people and her greatest weakness is gossipping.
Quincy is the directionally-confused navigator on the HSS Emmanuel, played by Scott Adams. His badge is blue, signifying a lieutenant in rank, just like Tammy. His special symbol is a compass, which is pretty universal for all navigators. Unfortunately for him and the rest of the crew, he is severely directionally challenged, often resulting in rather frustrating - and hilarious - results from their missions, especially when Paula isn't around to correct him.
Quincy is, by far, the friendliest member of the crew and he'll spend his time at his station working on computing and plotting courses and talking with the other officers. If no one else happens to be there, he'll either talk to himself or sing songs. His greatest attribute is that his optimism and cheerfulness - though some think it is rather annoying - keep everyone in relatively good humor through difficult times. His greatest weakness is his difficulty with directions.
Alpha, or Ensign Alpha, as she is formally called, is supposed to be the youngest of the crew members, younger than even Sparkie. She is played by Jessica Schultz. She works both in medical (she was trained as a counselor) and is occasionally seen working at Tammy's communications station or Quincy's navigating station if one of them is off duty. She basically does any random, odd job that needs to get done. As a result of this, she is rarely seen on-stage, preferring to keep busy in other parts of the ship. Her badge is red, which is ensign rank and her special symbol is the lower case alpha, a Greek letter.
Alpha is always willing to lend a hand to the others and is quick to provide the emotional support that is needed. Her greatest strength is her gentleness and compassion and her greatest weakness is her tendency to be taken advantage of by others because of her sensitivity.
Sparkie is the young intern on the HSS Emmanuel and works as an engineer. He is played by Andy Liu and, unlike the other characters, he is not a regular in the script, though he does appear quite often. His badge is red with a white stripe in the middle that means he an entry rank personell. He has no symbol at the bottom of his badge because he has not had time to propose a special symbol for himself.
Sparkie is described as being full of energy and ready to act at any given moment. His greatest strength is his alertness and his willing to help and his greatest weakness is impatience to act.
