"The Blood on the Marble tends to stain indefinitely. You might be wondering who I am, my gentle reader. Or perhaps you know all too well the monstrous Deity I have become. Let me assure you of a few things before going any further. Events can rule a lifetime. But in such preternatural cases as it pertains to me and my experiences, the rippled water multiplies. What has happened has happened. It began in the sands of Egypt,  it ended in Sonoma, and it is over with now. But what has remained is my constant love for humanity. Through the silent abyssal years, it is imperative to survival that one must love the realm chosen to dwell in. If you percieve a hell as your kingly paradise, then more than anything your hell shall become your heaven.
"Empires rise and fall, spheres of influence are migratory, however they are tied together by something more precious than samite: Life. However, do not mistake me, reader. Merely because I faun over the beauty of humankind did not satiate my desire to pluck out the eyes of my prey nor will it cease my yearnings to retrieve that fulfilling vitae from my human lovers. A mitochondria may wish feed off what it values most. Yet it is only when it spurs forth a new apendage from deep within that its wish may seem a glimmer closer to coming true.
"My name is Maharet. I am a vampire. Nothing more and nothing less. Yet with this disease which has been inflicted upon us all comes beauty. How wonderful it is to live in a world that grows and yet remains placid. Perhaps it is because of my mortal geneaology that I keep such a euphoric idea of life."
