REGULATION AND PRACTICES

Disciplinary Action and Black Marks

A black mark is given for any serious misconduct or frequent unauthorised absence. A black mark stays on your record until such time as you have improved your conduct or attendance. Should you receive a second black mark, whilst still having the first on your record, you will be asked to leave the squad.

The incurrence and removal of a black mark is the decision of the Squad Committee.

Absence and Extended Absence

If you are going to be absent from a training session or tournament / competition then you must contact a member of the Squad Committee with a valid excuse before the session or event takes place. If you fail to do this your absence will be considered unauthorised. If you incur three unauthorised absences then you will receive a black mark. Full Squad members will also be demoted to the Reserve team. If you should then receive a further three unauthorised absences within the year then you will be asked to leave the squad, and may incur a ban, depending on circumstances. If you do contact the Committee then you may still receive an unauthorised absence if your excuse is not valid. Failure to understand these regulations, forgetfulness and failure to find out training / competition dates or times are not valid excuses.
You may ask to take extended leave from the squad under certain circumstances. If, for example, you are taking important exams etc. then you may take extended study leave of up to six months. Any personal reasons will be kept in confidence. You may leave the Squad at any time if you feel it is not meeting your needs or requirements. However you will not be able to re-apply for the Squad for one year from the time you leave (The committee reserves the right to adjust this time if circumstances require it).

Uniform and Equipment

New members must have the following uniform / equipment before attending their first competition;

Kata Reserves

Traditional Uniform for your style.
Belt / Sash etc. (if applicable)
Weapon (if applicable)
Black Chuldow T-Shirt

Sparring Reserves

Black Chuldow T-Shirt
Black Trousers with Red Stripe (no variations)
Gumshield
Groin Guard (mandatory for males)

Full Squad members must have the following uniform / equipment;

Kata Squad

Traditional Uniform for your style
Belt / Sash etc. (if applicable)
Weapon (if applicable)
Red Chuldow T-Shirt

Sparring Squad

Red Chuldow T-Shirt
Black Trousers with Red Stripe
Gumshield
Groin Guard (mandatory for males)
Hand / Foot / Shin Pads (see Squad Committee for correct type)
Head Guard (covering sides, back and top of head)
Boxing Gloves (light continuous / kickboxing only)
