Two new "Halloween" recipes added October 2010 in text area box below... Copy and paste to notepad..
Recipe #1 Spider Poke Cake ...Recipe #2 Bloody Witch Fingers..."ENJOY"!!

   

Highlight recipe's copy and paste to notepad Recipe #1 Spider Poke Cake 1 box white cake mix 1 pkg. green jello blue food coloring chocolate frosting 4 back licorice strips 2 big green gumballs 6 little gumballs Prepare cake and gelatin according to package directions. Except use the 9" round cake pans for the cake. Cut a smaller circle out of one cake using it as the head. Fill the hole left over with the gelatin. Place the other layer on top and trim to shape. To prepare frosting, in a mixing bowl, add blue food coloring to the chocolate frosting until black in color. Frost cake black. Then use the black licorice as legs and gumballs as eyes. NOTE: When cake is cut into, it spurts green goop. Fay's Recipe Kitchen

Recipe #2 Bloody Witch Fingers Preparation time 10 mins 1 almond paste Licorice, filled with white cream Raisins Wafers Food colouring Strawberry or raspberry jam Cut the licorice the length of a finger. Wrap it in the almond paste and sculpt your finger. The paste is quite malleable, so use your imagination to add details like joints and wrinkles. Cut a fingernail out of the wafer. Make it pointy, broken, or anything else you can imagine. Press the nail into an end of your creation. Press some raisins into the finger to make warts. Mix a bit of water and food colouring of your choice. Wash it over your masterpiece. Don’t put too much. Refrigerate until the finger is dry. Decorate the plate with strawberry or raspberry jam to resemble blood. Serve to your little (and big!) monsters. Fay's Recipe Kitchen!
