While some of the thoughts on this page are written from a nursing perspective, they are presented as personal observations, written to enrich and to entertain. They are not to be taken as medical advice. I do not give medical advice over the internet. Your health care practitioner is in the best position to understand and make recommendations about your unique situation. Please consult her/him with any questions you may have.

This site is not professional or commercial. It is a collection of personal thoughts and experiences followed by lists of excellent web resources about childbirth, parenting and breastfeeding. I am a mother of three, grandmother of three, and I work as an obstetrical nurse in the prenatal clinic of a city hospital. I believe in family-centered maternity care, natural childbirth, attachment parenting, and extended breastfeeding. However, I also believe in the right of every woman to make informed choices based on her own beliefs and life situations.
