In order to complete your portrait, I will need two or more high quality photographs of your horse, or dog. Photographs must be well-lit and in focus to capture the details. Choose a sunny day with the sun at your back, but avoid harse shadows. Bright overcast days are best for photographs. Don't get too close, or the head will be distorted and look odd (big nose, little body).
