I Am Not A Disease

I am not a disease. I am a person with a disease.
I am not a sickness. I am sick.
I am not pain. I am in pain.
I am not frustration. I am frustrated.
I am not fear. I am afraid.
I am not alone. I am lonely.
I am not a wheelchair. I use a wheelchair.
I am not useless. I need help.
I am not pathetic. I have different strengths.
I am not weak. I am stronger than I have ever had to be.
I am not lazy. I work more than I have ever had to work.
I am not pointless. I am finding a new purpose.
I am not tiredness. I am exhausted.
I am not death. I feel like I am dying.
I am not unattractive. Others see beauty in strength.
I am not gone. I am in a state of recovery.
I am not dying. I am finding a new way of living.

I am not a disease.
