Yes, my computer is still out of commission, but long-time visiotrs will notice that the list below has been significantly shortened. Through some research and luck (mostly that of other people), the ever-pesky LaBrash family have been traced back to their origins in France. This is big news; it only took me 7 years to get to this point. In conjunction with this, I'm forging ahead with my plan to make this site a more complete compilation of LaBrash research. If there's anything I'm missing, or if you have questions, please email me.

To paraphrase a certain Irish rock band, I still haven't found whom I'm looking for. So I'm using my bit of bandwidth to put out an A.P.B. on the following:

• Daniel O'Brien (1838 - April, 1910) and Margaret Barnett (December 2, 1831 - January, 1916) I actually have pretty good information on my great-great grandparents, and have managed to trace them back to their emmigration to the United States around 1858. There, however, the trail goes cold. I know from Daniel's death certificate that Margaret's maiden name was Barrett or Barnett. They lived in the Decatur, Macon County, Illinois area their entire lives in the United States, and probably have relatives living in the area to this day.
• James and Elizabeth Hoy I have traced my great-great-great grandparents from New York (1850) to Missouri (1860). Unfortuantely, the last bit of hard information I have is their daughter Catherine's marriage to Louis LaBrash (see above). From that, I know they lived in Iron County, MO in 1863. Any information on them either before 1850 or after the Civil War is very helpful.
