Corn Dolly
Make a Corn Dolly for Lughnassadh:
- Remove the husks from three ears of corn. Fashion them into the image of a woman with full skirts. How?[outside link]
- Decorate your altar with it.
Variation
Another type of corn dolly, based on the old meaning of corn as any small grain, can be woven from ears of wheat, etc. Handicraft books and magazines often carry instructions.
