Riley 9 Kestrel
A Restoration Diary
29/9/02
The steering column and box has been cleaned and re-installed and the same goes for the fuel tank. With the rolling chassis pretty much complete, work has progressed onto the 9hp engine.
The engine was then methodically dismantled to reveal; stuck piston rings, one loose little-end bush and too much crankshaft endfloat! The most amazing modification had been made to the inlet camshaft with 1 inch of the nose sectioned away! With a replacement camshaft fitted and orthodox thrust arrangments, careful re-assembly of the engine is now underway.

Sorry, for the lack of updates over the past month. I see the site has finally been activated on the Riley Webring - the increase in visitors is good to see.
