Riley 9 Kestrel
A Restoration Diary

The Kestrel 2nd August

The Kestrel 2nd August

As you can see, alot has happened since the last pictures.
Wings and running boards are secured. The only way to position these correctly was to think of the parts as one unit (Front and rear wing and running board). The engine bulkhead has been cleaned up and some fuel plumbing has been done. The biggest problem so far has been the fitting of the doors which are notoriously difficult to align. This has involved endless offering up and wedging with packing between the body and chassis. Three doors are now completed and the final one will be finished tomorrow!

I'll take some more detailed photos tomorrow.
