Well, we didn't get the pictures we wanted from the vet. He put them on his computer then couldn't figure out how to send them to us. So he just printed one off in black and white and we had to scan it. It isn't a very good one, but it is of Rex's knee when they had it opened up.

The vet said that his knee was the worst he has ever seen this kind of injury get because it took so long to get it taken care of. The knee cap wore a hole or "bite" out of the bone near where the knee cap is supposed to sit so he had to cut back farther, make a deeper "V" as he put it, to compensate for the space worn away.

Rex has staples along his leg now, they are stronger then stitches. The staples will come out on June 3rd. He is taking Rimadyl and Cosequin morning and night.

He is getting around ok and is happy. No sign of infection! Thank God! He is missing being able to go swimming as it has been over 100 degrees here for the the past week and our swamp cooler went out, but we have been keeping him cool with water on his front half as he can't get the incision wet yet.

He is using his leg a little and still cries when he bumps it, but most of the time he is great! The vet said we need to keep him calm so that he doesn't injure the other leg and have to fix that one too! His recovery should take about 9 months. We will start doing rehabilitation after the staples come out. So for now we are trying to make him take it easy. For those of you who have Boston's you know this is near to impossible!

Thanks to all of you, Rex is getting better! God Bless!
