Although I don't like the character that much, Frankie has had some pivotal moments in the show. Such as when he helps the team escape from the firing sqaud in the first three episodes of the last season.
He is forced to join the team as he helped aid and abet The A-Team, and in doing so, got himself onto the ten most wanted list.
Frankie "Dishpan" Santana is a special effects genius who's abilities help the team in a good few episodes.

As the A-Team face a court martial, Frankie and Murdock rush to provide evidence that they were under orders from Morrison to clear their names.
Firing Line (Season 5)
The A-Team are convicted of first degree murder - having been framed for the murder of Colonel Morrison in Vietnam. They are sentanced to death by firing squad. Murdock and Frankie must work together to help free them, and in the process, Frankie becomes a wanted man.
