| Archived News 12/10/01 Happy Holidays, everyone!! The year is drawing to a close. It's the holiday season! In the spirit of the season, I have created a charily links page. Plase visit and learn how you can help others. I am now on Christmas break, so I hope to get some great new stuff posted soon. 9/28/01 Well, it's been a while. A lot has happened between when I last wrote and today. Our nation, America, has suffered a terrible attack, and it has left a lot of people sad and confused. I have posted a picture of the American Flag in remembrance. I found it at www.vfw.org. I earnestly pray that our country will find some strength, and some peace, in these trying days. 8/30/2001 Introducing--Redwing's Random Thoughts! This is where I'm going to post some odds and ends (ie, random thoughts) which I have written down, including poetry, some bits I posted in Exploration's Philosophy section, and other things as soon as I have the time to locate them and type them up. It's a glimpse into the wacky world of Redwing! I'm looking forward to putting it together and seeing what happens. I was looking at some other really nice GeoCities sites, and I noticed that they had really neat transitions between pages on their websites. The pages would dissolve into one another, or do other neat things as I surfed from page to page. I really liked it, so I am trying to see how it goes putting some transitions in on my site, as well. (Oh, call me a copy-cat, but I can't help reacting when I see a really neat idea.) I love this Yahoo Page-Builder! *mischiefous grin* 8/29/2001 I have added a guestbook today, among other things. I am now at the point where I only have a few sections that I really have to out-and-out add to my site, so more of my effort can go into editing and refining the pages I have already posted. I am still looking for ways and places to promote my site. My goal is to find a web ring or two to join, and I might consider restructuring my site a bit so I can place it in the GeoCities directory and maybe even in the main Yahoo! directory. I am considering whether or not I may want to post some creative writing I've done on this site, but that is still up in the air. When school starts up again, I'll be getting back in toutch with Anahbird, so I may place some more writing on her site as well. I'm still exploring the wacky, fun world of publishing things on the web. 8/21/2001 I've done a little building in the past few days. I have mostly been investigating some of the other fun services Yahoo! offers, like groups and web-rings. I hope to be able to add this site to one or two web-rings to help draw traffic. I also now have Yahoo! Messenger, so visitors can send me online messages when I am surfing the web or working on this site. 8/12/2001 I've finally made an update to the SETI section. That means that all sections except for Anime are up and running. I'm busy working on another piece for the philosophy section, so keep your eyes open for that. So far, so good. 8/03/2001 I feel like I've made a major step. I have finally posted my first opinion piece on my philosophy page, an answer to one of the questions I pose on that page. It may be a while before I am able to do others, but at least I have gotten started. Look for some more postings in the next few days...I think within a day or two I'll have that update to the SETI section I've been promising. 8/02/2001 New month, new look. I've changed the buttons on the navigation panel and also added them to other parts of my website. I am also working on expanding the Philosophy section of this site, so stay tuned. I am also looking to add a few more links to reference sites and other locations designed to help all of the students out there. 7/26/2001 I've been doing a few small corections, and adding a few links. I'm afraid its been a busy summer, so I haven't gotten as much done as I would have liked. But, fortunately, I have added an update to the Music section and I hope to have my update to the SETI section ready soon. The biggest news is THE FORUM IS HERE!! I'm really excited to be able to offer this, and I hope that it's a success. 5/12/01 It's been a while! I am dong a little work on the SETI and Music sections. I haven't posted my updates yet, but they should be coming soon. 4/06/2001 I've been doing a bit of reformatting, today, and it's coming along well. I am going to go web-surfing, while I'm at it, to find some more good links. This is still coming along slowly, but I am looking forward to the summer, when I should have a lot more time. 3/28/2001 Site builing is coming along well. So far, I have done the most with the Philosophy and Sci-fi sections of this site. Slowly but surely, it's coming along.... |
