John Norris has published on his web site a book written by Joseph Whitaker.
Joseph was born in 1850 at Ramsdale Farm, near Arnold, Notts., 
and later owned Rainworth Lodge in Blidworth.
He was a renowned ornithologist and wrote many books on the English Countryside.
He was also the grandfather of Margaret (Toddy) Whitaker Chaney.
