Adam Singleton

Adam was a really good person, he was easy to get along with. He liked to go fishing and liked hanging out with his friends. He was an only child and his mom was really young when she had him and he didn't have a very good family life so he lived with me and my family.

The accident happened around 2 in the morning on June 7th, 1998. Adam, my brother Joel, and their friend Chad drove to Gainesville to see Chad's girlfriend Kari. While they were there, they went to a few parties and of course, they drank. About 2 a.m., they decided to go out to a club and they all got into Chad's truck with Kari driving, my brother in the middle, Adam in the passenger's seat, and Chad and Mike (Kari's cousin) in the bed of the truck. She ran two red lights, and at the second red light they were hit broadside and the truck flipped end-over-end 3 times and everyone was thrown from the truck except for my brother. Adam was the only one that was even injured. No one knows if he was killed insantly or what because the cops at the scene told everyone different stories. I didn't find out what had happened till around 7 that morning. I felt like I was just going to die.

Adam truly was the love of my life, even though I was only 15 at the time.
