Dunkelweizen Wheat
A darker version of Weizenbier.
A chocolate maltiness with banana overtones that characterizes wheat beers.

250g Dried Corn
Syrup
10g Saaz Hop
Pellets (Boiling)
10g Hallertau Hop
Pellets (Finishing)

METHOD:
In a large pot add 4litres hot
water, bring to the boil and add the boiling hops. Boil for 10 mins, and
then add the finishing hops. Turn off the heat and add all the other
ingredients stirring until totally dissolved. Pour this into your fermenter
and top up with cold water to the 23 litre mark. Add the yeast when the wort
has cooled.
Hoegaarden
(Belgian White Beer)
Known as “Bieres
Blanches” in French, the Belgian white wheat
beers
are brewed using about 50% wheat and a combination of spices, typically,
orange peel and coriander.
Hoegaarden,is
a refreshing cloudy lemon coloured beer.
The sweet/sour and spicy taste
and subtle hop bitterness and
aroma
makes it distinctively different.

Black Rock Whispering Wheat
1Kg Dry Wheat Malt Extract
15g coriander seeds (crushed)
2 tablespoons of orange peel
(remove pith and use zest only)
Safale
K-97 yeast.

Conditioning 6 weeks (min)
METHOD:
In a brew pot bring 2
litres of water to the boil, add malt, coriander
and orange peel, reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes then turn heat off.
Add the can of Whispering wheat and stir until dissolved.
Rest for 15 minutes and then strain into your
fermenter.
Top up to 21
litres with cold water and when temperature is
correct
Add the yeast and ferment out
in the usual way.
