After relocating from Illinois to Ohio in 1987, the planning was underway to build layout number five in a large basement with eight foot ceillings. Construction commenced in 1989 and continued thru most of the ninties. Although most modelers will attest that their layout "is never finished", this one was as close to complete as I have come with any of my previous ones. My good fortune was not to last, however, as we made the decision to move into a smaller home since our three children had moved out leaving Mom and Dad "empty nesters". |
