Physical or Spititual
Israel

Mat
23:39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth,
till ye shall say, Blessed is he that
cometh in the name of the Lord.
Rom 11:14 If by
any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might
save some of them.
Not
all
would be saved. Not all the
national Physical Israel would be saved. Just the elect:
Rom
11:6 And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is
no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace;
otherwise work is no longer work.
7 What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and
the rest were blinded.
8 Just as it is written: "God has given them a spirit of stupor,
Eyes that they should not see And ears that they should not hear, To this very day."
9 And David says: "Let their table become a snare and a trap, A
stumbling block and a recompense to them.
2 Cor 3:14 But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil
remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil
is taken away in Christ.
15 But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their
heart.
16 Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken
away.
17 Now the Lord is the Spirit;
and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there
is liberty.
Mt 16:17 And Jesus answered and said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon
Barjona, because flesh and
blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.
Rom 11:5-7
Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant
according to the election of grace. (6) And if by grace, then is it no
more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of
works,
then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. (7) What
then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the
election hath obtained it, and
the rest were blinded.
Rom 10:3 For not knowing about God's righteousness, and seeking to
establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the
righteousness of God.
Rom 11:5 It is the same today, for not all the Jews have turned away
from God. A few are being saved as a result of God's kindness in
choosing them.
So then,
they
were enemies while yet in an unbelieved state,
nevertheless they were elect and would be saved. When they say, Blessed
is he that
cometh in the name of the Lord. They were the "all
Israel". They were the
remnant, the elect, the
beloved for the fathers' sakes.
Rom 9:29 And
just as Isaiah foretold, "EXCEPT THE LORD OF SABAOTH HAD LEFT TO US A
POSTERITY, WE WOULD HAVE BECOME AS SODOM, AND WOULD HAVE RESEMBLED
GOMORRAH."
30 What shall we say then? That Gentiles, who did not pursue
righteousness, attained righteousness, even the righteousness which is
by faith;
31 but Israel, pursuing a law of righteousness, did not arrive at
that law.
32 Why? Because they did not
pursue it by faith, but as though it were by works. They stumbled over
the stumbling stone,
Phil 3:9 and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of
my own derived from the Law, but that
which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from
God on the basis of faith,
Mat 21:33-43 "Hear another parable: There was a certain
landowner who planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, dug a
winepress in it and built a tower.
Who is the vineyard? It is
Israel.
Israel is God's vineyard.
John 15:2 "Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes
away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear
more fruit.
Mat 21:42
Jesus said to them,
"Have
you never read in the
Scriptures:
'The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief
cornerstone. This was the Lord's doing, And it is marvelous in our
eyes'? Mat 21:43 "Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be
taken
from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it.
"For they are not all Israel who are of Israel." Christ
Jesus. He
is the true Israel of God.
They had to be in the Son, Christ Jesus, in order to be considered the
true Israel of God who by His death have been delivered from bondage of
sin.
Within national Israel is "true
Israel," or
"spiritual Israel."The
nation was chosen to be a blessing to the world, but
not all within the nation were chosen
to salvation. Most Jews believed that all who are born of
Jewish blood
are saved by birth. They felt secure because they were children of
Abraham and therefore in the covenant of promise.
John 8:33 They answered Him, "We are Abraham's
descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can you say,
'You will be made free'?"
34 Jesus answered them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever
commits sin is a slave of sin.
35 "And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son
abides forever.
36 "Therefore if the
Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
"We are
Abraham's descendants" they were referring to physical descent.
They
were trusting in their race to save them.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one
is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
Rom 11:2 God has not rejected
His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says
in the passage about Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel?
3 "Lord, THEY HAVE KILLED THY PROPHETS, THEY HAVE TORN DOWN THINE
ALTARS, AND I ALONE AM LEFT, AND THEY ARE SEEKING MY LIFE."
4 But what is the divine response to him? "I HAVE KEPT for Myself
SEVEN THOUSAND MEN WHO HAVE NOT BOWED THE KNEE TO BAAL."
5 In the same way then,
there has also come to be at the present time a remnant according to
God's gracious choice.
Rom 9:6 But it is not
as though the word of God has failed. For they are not all Israel who
are descended from Israel;
7 neither are
they all children because they are
Abraham's descendants, but: "THROUGH ISAAC YOUR DESCENDANTS WILL BE
NAMED."
8 That is, it is not the children of the flesh
who are children of God, but the children of the
promise are regarded as descendants.
Gal 3:6-9 just as
Abraham
"believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness."
7
Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham.
8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the
Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying,
"In you all the nations shall be blessed."
9 So then those who
are of faith are blessed with
believing Abraham.
Rom 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he
eateth not of faith: for whatsoever
is not of faith is sin.
Galatians 3:16 Now to Abraham
and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, "And to seeds,"
as of many, but as of one, "And to your Seed," who is Christ.
Galatians 3:29
And if
you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to
the promise.
Romans 2:28-29 For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is
circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; 29 but he is a Jew who
is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit,
not in the letter;
whose praise is not from men
but from God.
Philippians 3:3 ( For we are the circumcision, who worship God in
the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the
flesh,
1John 2:22 Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus
is the Christ? This is the antichrist,
the one who denies the Father and the Son.
23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who
confesses the Son has the Father also.
Rev 2:9 "I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but
you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews
and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.
Revelation 3:9 "Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of
Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie; indeed I will make
them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved
you.
Revelation 19:11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white
horse. And He who sat on him
was called Faithful and True, and in
righteousness He judges
and makes war.
Heb 8:6 But now
He has obtained a more excellent ministry, by as
much as He is also the mediator of a better covenant, which has been
enacted on better promises.
7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have
been no occasion sought for a second.
8 For finding fault with them, He says, "BEHOLD, DAYS ARE COMING, SAYS THE LORD,
WHEN I WILL EFFECT A NEW COVENANT WITH
THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AND WITH THE HOUSE OF JUDAH;
9 NOT LIKE
THE COVENANT WHICH I MADE WITH THEIR FATHERS ON THE DAY WHEN I TOOK
THEM BY THE HAND TO LEAD THEM OUT OF THE LAND OF EGYPT; FOR THEY DID
NOT CONTINUE IN MY COVENANT, AND I DID NOT CARE FOR THEM, SAYS THE LORD.
10 "FOR THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THE HOUSE OF
ISRAEL AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS INTO THEIR
MINDS, AND I WILL WRITE THEM UPON THEIR HEARTS. AND I WILL BE THEIR
GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.
Eph 2:12
That at that time ye were without Christ, being
aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the
covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
John 15:1 I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in
Me, and
I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing.
6 "If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch,
and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire, and
they are burned.
7 "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever
you wish, and it shall be done for you.
Rev 21:27 and nothing unclean and no one who practices
abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose
names are written in the Lamb's book of life.
Col 1:16 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens
and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or
rulers or authorities-- all things have been created by Him and for Him.
17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold
together.
18 He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the
beginning, the first-born from the dead; so that He Himself might come
to have first place in everything.
Gal
4:21 Listen to me, you who want to live under the law. Do you
know what the law really says?
22
The Scriptures say that Abraham had two sons, one from his
slave-wife and one from his freeborn wife.
23
The son of the slave-wife was born in a human attempt to bring
about the fulfillment of God's promise. But the son of the freeborn
wife was born as God's own fulfillment of his promise.
24
Now these two women serve as an
illustration of God's two
covenants. Hagar, the slave-wife, represents Mount Sinai
where
people
first became enslaved to the law.
25
And now Jerusalem is just like Mount Sinai in Arabia, because she
and her children live in slavery.
26
But Sarah, the free woman, represents the heavenly Jerusalem. And
she is our mother.
27
That is what Isaiah meant when he prophesied, "Rejoice, O
childless woman! Break forth into loud and joyful song, even though you
never gave birth to a child. For the woman who could bear no children
now has more than all the other women!"
28
And you, dear brothers and sisters, are children of the promise,
just like Isaac.
29
And we who are born of
the Holy Spirit are persecuted by
those
who want us to keep the law, just as Isaac, the child of
promise, was
persecuted by Ishmael, the son of the slave-wife.
30
But what do the Scriptures say about that? "Get rid of the slave
and her son, for the son of the slave woman will not share the family
inheritance with the free woman's son."
31
So,
dear friends, we are not children of the slave woman,
obligated to the law. We are children of the free woman, acceptable to
God because of our faith.
Gal
5:1 So Christ has really set us free. Now make sure that you stay free,
and don't get tied up again in slavery to the law.

John 18:36 "Jesus answered,
My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then
would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews:
but now is my kingdom not from hence".
John
8:23 "And he said
unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world;
I am not of this world".
Gal 4:26 but the Jerusalem above is free, which is the mother of
us all.
Heb 12:22 But you have
come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly
Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels,
23 to the general
assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to
God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect,
24 to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of
sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.
25 See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not
escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not
escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven,
26 whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised,
saying, "Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven."
27 Now this, "Yet once more," indicates the removal of those
things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the
things which
cannot be shaken may remain.
28 Therefore, since we are
receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we
may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
29 For our God is a
consuming fire. ( This is all taking place now, God is on
the thone ruleing and reging now, in us. We are sitting on the
throne with Him right now. John
14:23, Eph
2:6 )
Rom 11:25 For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of
this mystery, lest you be wise in your own estimation, that a partial
hardening has happened to Israel until the fulness of the Gentiles has
come in;
Ro 16:25 God is able to make you
strong, just as the Good News says. It is the message about Jesus
Christ and his plan for you Gentiles, a plan kept secret from the
beginning of time.
Rev 7:9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude,
which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples
and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in
white robes, and palm branches were in their hands;
10 and they cry out with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation to our God who sits on the
throne, and to the Lamb."
(My Note I think we hold on till death that is the last thing we
conquer. or until Christ puts everything that offends Him under His
feet.)
God wants us to realize. We are spiritual beings in the here and now. Sometimes we
act as if were physical now and we'll be spiritual later, that is
wrong. You and I are spiritual being's, right now.
We
are so physically minded we put so much emphasis on the physical. But
the spirit is what we walk after, the
love is in the heart
because the value and power is in the spirit, not in the physical.
But when we look upon Jesus Christ as he is and see his mercy and
kindness, and love and righteousness, these things are able to
transform our lives. That is where the power is. The power is not in
the physical but the spiritual.
We don't need God to burn up the earth and make a new one. What
we need
is something that deals with the spirit of man, putting off the old and
putting of the new, following after the Spirit, letting God transformed
us to Himself. We need a new heart, a spiritual change. So the
spiritual realm is where the value is, it's where the power is and
people it's where out need is.
Rom 11:26 and thus all Israel will be saved; just as it is
written, "THE DELIVERER WILL COME FROM ZION, HE WILL REMOVE UNGODLINESS
FROM JACOB."
27 "AND THIS IS MY COVENANT WITH THEM, WHEN I TAKE AWAY THEIR
SINS."
28 From the standpoint of the gospel they are enemies for your
sake, but from the standpoint of God's choice they are beloved for the
sake of the fathers;
29 for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
30 For just as you once were disobedient to God, but now have
been shown mercy because of their disobedience,
31 so these also now have been disobedient, in order that because
of the mercy shown to you they also may now be shown mercy.
32 For God has shut up all in disobedience that He might show
mercy to all.
33 Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge
of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!
34 For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, OR WHO BECAME HIS
COUNSELOR?
35 Or WHO HAS FIRST GIVEN TO HIM THAT IT MIGHT BE PAID BACK TO
HIM AGAIN?
36 For from Him and through Him
and to Him are all things. To Him
be the glory forever. Amen.
"Blindness in part has happened
unto Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in," mean?
Paul has just stated prior to this. He says he
doesn't want them to be ignorant of the mystery, so he's revealing to
them that the Gentiles are to be part of this same Covenant with
Israel. They will have the same
deliverance by the Messiah, and be part
of the same "One Body" which is in Christ. This is how, "all Israel shall
be saved."
Eph 1:9 He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to
His kind intention which He purposed in Him
10 with a view to an administration suitable to the fulness of
the times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in
the heavens and things upon the earth. In Him
11 also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined
according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His
will,
Thinking that
Jewish descent or genealogy will save Israel, is wrong, Our life is hid
in Christ.
Heb 9:28 so Christ also, having been offered
once to bear the sins of many, shall appear a second time for salvation
without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him. He is
transforming us now, and gathering us now to Himself.
Matthew 24:30-31 (KJV) And then shall
appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the
tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming
in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall
send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet,
and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one
end of heaven to the other.
1Corinthians 15:24 "Then cometh the end, when he shall have
delivered up the kingdom to
God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all
authority and power."
Rom 4:16 For this reason it is by faith, that it might be in
accordance with grace, in order that the promise may be certain to all
the descendants, not only to those who are of the Law, but also to
those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all,
17 (as it is written, "A FATHER OF MANY NATIONS HAVE I MADE YOU")
in the sight of Him whom he believed, even God, who gives life to the
dead and calls into being that which does not exist.
John 17:14 "I have given them Your word; and the world has hated
them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
15 "I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but
that You should keep them from the evil one.
16 "They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
