If you want to see what I do when I'm not monitoring a 5,000 node network for a nationwide commercial bank, please continue on...

Hello, my name is Paul and one of my hobbies is tinkering with and driving Volkswagens. I have only owned a few, but I caught the "bug" quite some time ago. When I was a young lad, my mom purchased a brand new 1973 Beetle. She drove it daily for the beeter part of 10 years or so, then let me drive it to school. I drove it daily for the next 10 years, through high school and college. Then I took it off the road and restored in from the ground up. Now I drive a completely plain vehicle to preserve it. I bought a 1966 Double cab about the same time I got the bug back on the road, thinking I would dive right in to restoring that. Well, I met a girl, got married, had two kids, bought a house and of course have no time for it right now. So it sits, waiting patiently for me to get to him to restore and put back into daily service. As soon as time and money allow, I will be starting his restoration. I am an active member of the Volkswagen Association of Western New York.

More information about my 1966 Double cab can be found here. There are some pictures and the m-code tag information. I am always looking for a walkthrough passenger split bus, so if you know where one is located or have one for sale, please contact me!

One of the only 'extended cab' double cabs!

Pictured here is one of the coolest buses I have seen. It's titled as a 1963 double cab. As you can see, it's actually a single cab rear welded to a walkthrough front, probably of 1963 vintage. Very cool. It looks extremely long, but it's really only about 2' longer than a standard double cab. Click on the picture to get an enlarged version of it.

Most of the information I have compiled throughout the website was obtained through experience. The online information sources are located on my links page.
