Minnette: Nick's girlfriend in New York. They broke up 5 years ago (before he took the job at F & A). She is an actress. They were looking for apartments when Nick decided to take the F&A job. She still has feelings for Nick. ["Solidarity"] (see Mini rants!)

Lulu Archer:Nick develops feelings for Lulu, even though she is engaged to marry Brian, the prostitute frequenting medical student/resident from Columbus Ohio. They (Lulu and Nick) share a passionate kiss ["Shelter"]. Lulu later apologizes to Nick and tells him they should avoid each other. Of course, she can't stay too far away from Nick, especially when she asks Nick to represent her in a lawsuit against an abusive nursing home in which her grandmother resided.["Chinese Wall"]

Kim McPherson:Friend of Lulu and divorced mother of 5 year old, Matty. She’s involved in a fender bender with Nick. One thing leads to that thing (you know what I mean!). However, she’s involved in a custody battle with her ex-husband and temporarily dumps Nick because his probationary status might affect her case.
