CLUB NEWS

· The Club will be one year old on 4 August 2002 and a workshop is being organised to commemorate the eventful day at our monthly gathering on 25 August 2002. For this event, Ping will be teaching us how to make shoes for our beautiful 16” girls. As usual, members of the Club will be able to attend for free but non-members will have to pay RM 50.00 for the session. A kit consisting of the necessary items to make a pair of shoes will be given to the participants. Please e-mail me if you are interested to attend at rmerican@yahoo.com

· Christine of Treasure Island had kindly organised the May 2002 Barbie Party. We had lots of fun trying our luck in the “Which Barbie am I?” contest and of course we have our usual Best Re-Dressed Barbie® and Best Makeover Barbie competition, both of which were won by Elizabeth.

FASHION DOLL NEWS

· Madison from Magma Heritage has the new Lollipop dolls in stock – boy what cuties they are!

· View Robert Tonner’s mid-year releases at their site – Emme is wonderful!

· Lingerie # 5 made a brief appearance in the Malaysian market and is now on back-order. Those unlucky not to reserve earlier have missed owning a truly wonderful doll. In fact, Madison from Magma Heritage has also taken some pictures of this adorable girl on tour at some parts of the world! Fantastic!

· The 2003 Barbie® collection has also been announced – boy, they are really something.

· The Big Beautiful Dolls, Dasia, Denna and Dawn, are now on-line. Go to their site to view – they are really quite adorable, maybe more down-to-earth than Emme.

· The Gene Fan Appreciation Doll for 2002 is the Violet Nights Doll. This fantastic doll comes with her exquisite white Trunk! The trunk is lined in a “Violet Signature” lining and will only be produced for the Fan Appreciation event. Very Violet is a 2003 doll available in a limited number for the Gene Fan Appreciation Weekend. She has bendable knees and elbows and wears gorgeous lingerie. · You can obtain a free paper doll of Vivian from D.A.E Originals if you can’t bear to wait for the actual model.
