| Irish folksinger Pól MacAdaim was born in Belfast. At the age of 9 he became involved in playing music. For the last five years he has been involved in producing music and has played alongside well known pop musicians such as Shakespeare's Sister, Seal and Delores Keane. This year we will be able to see Pól debut in the film "The Magdalene Sisters" directed by the legendary Peter Mullan. The film was premiered at The Cannes Filmfestival and won the Golden Lion Award at the 2002 Venice Filmfestival. Pól can be seen playing a Bodhran duet with an Irish Priest at the beginning of the Film. The film addresses the contentious issues of abuse surrounding the Magdalene Laundries during the 1960's and is based on the life story of an nun who worked there.
