Our main event this month will be "teddy bear week". Students will be asked to bring their very favorite teddy bear to school with them for a week. We will even have our bears sleep over one night. The final bash will be when we have our bear hunt and teddy bear picnic. We are very excited.

Learning class/school rules and procedures will be a strong focus this month. It is important for the children to understand all expectations to provide for a better learning environment. Also, we will begin reviewing letters (sounds and formation). In, math, our focus will be on adding basic numbers. Science will include the five senses and understanding the difference between living and non-living things. Finally, in Social Studies we will explore an "all about me" unit.
I really enjoyed meeting all the parents at our orientation. I also enjoyed meeting some of my new students! Thanks to all of you who came. If you were not able to make it, please see me for a parent information packet. I can't wait to start our school year!!
Any parents that would like to participate in our teddy bear picnic, please contact me. We will be needing help with special snacks. All are welcome to attend. Also, in October, we will be building a scarecrow. If you have any ideas or want to be involved, let me know. It will be lots of fun!!!!
I would like to remind all parents to please make sure that your child is in their appropriate uniform. Also, school starts at 8:30am. Please have your child to school on time.
